108: An Eco-Thriller

This cross-genre, award-winning book hits close to home. As a fan of thriller books and a staunch supporter of environmental conservation, I love how debut author Dheepa R. Maturi expertly wove these elements, along with her cultural roots, into an eye-opening premise in 108.

Bayla Jeevan is working at her news agency, analyzing data, when a strange experience overcomes her. The scent of Jasmine. Her father’s voice. A warning of imminent danger spreading through the Indian forest.

Unwilling to shake the visual premonition, she digs deeper and uncovers a familial link to an organization run by an agrochemical billionaire. Karkun Zed is on the precipice of launching a new product that seemingly offers the ultimate solution to farming but could ultimately destroy life on Earth.

The clock is ticking as Bayla harnesses her courage, past, and passion to stop Zed’s roll-out and save the Planet.

Fans of newsworthy storylines with a suspenseful twist will enjoy this eco-thriller.
