Look and Find Easter Stories for Young Children
As a lover of games, I appreciate the ingenious way illustrator Megan Higgins shares Easter stories using seek-and-find clues. How clever! This is a fantastic way to introduce or retell events in the New Testament. Not only do I want this book, but I also want to give it as a gift. It makes a perfect gift any time of the year.
Each page in this children’s interactive Bible storybook prompts a challenge—to find the visual elements mentioned in the story snippet. The clues are numerical, progressing from one to ten, increasing the challenge level. For example, you might spot a woven basket right away. But can you find seven in the Passover scene? What about eight loaves of bread at the Last Supper? It sounds easy, but training the eye to see these biblical cons takes time.
I’m not going to lie—I spent over an hour on the look-and-find process. Addicting!!!
However, the stories and settings are the most important. This is a great way to engage a child or someone struggling to sit and read. For adults? Yes, indeed. I imagine I’m not the only person drawn to this imaginative book about Jesus’s life and works.
