This book by Marisa Solis and Elizabeth Dougherty, Cofounders of Book Structure Pros, is, in my opinion, the ultimate resource for anyone who desires to turn their expertise into a bestseller.
Too often, experts are pushed to publish to reach the masses and be seen as an authority in their field. While this isn’t necessary, it’s often compelling and validating. Not because the expert needs to feel substantiated—though that can be the case—it’s because readers and seekers of expert advice expect them to be an author too. But being an expert in one field doesn’t make you an expert author. That’s where Marisa and Elizabeth come in because they are experts in helping experts become authors.
No, they didn’t grease the wheel here, nor have I hired them to coach me. I read their book and found it to be a penultimate guide for professionals wanting to reach a wider audience.
