The Heart Code: The Breakthrough Method to Open Your Heart and Transform Your Life.

This book is for readers seeking emotional and physical healing. I think we all are, and that makes this resource worth a read.

It opens with an explanation of how the authors, Dr. Bradley Nelson and Jean Nelson, developed their methodology, followed by accounts from clients and various testimonials. They then walk the reader through steps on how (and why) they can achieve similar experiences with their model, The Emotion Code and the Heart Code, on which this book is based.

Although they stress that each individual responds differently and is responsible for their outcomes, the authors believe that this is the healing method for all who feel “blocked.” In other words, when your heart has built up a shield, known as a “Heart-Wall,” repressed emotions hold you back from achieving your goals, living a happier life, and feeling physically at your best. They provide various at-home “tests” for the reader to experiment with, along with exercises to release blocks. The founders of the Emotion Code and Heart Code emphasize the importance of beginning each session with an inspirational exercise, expressing gratitude to the Divine Creator for His patience and guidance. For without the blessings the Father in Heaven has provided, nothing will improve.

This is a fascinating book with a unique healing method.

I love the opening gratitude statement they have scripted, which ignites a healing process. They provide research on how the heart stores emotional experiences at a cellular level, creating a debilitating ‘Heart-Wall’. There are interesting accounts in the book around this research, including how people can pass when triggered by deep emotional pain or loss, and how memories and emotions stored in these core cells can transfer to a donor recipient via a transplant.

The idea that the heart (and thus the entire mind and body) is deeply affected by stored emotional energy is fascinating. I believe that’s true. And though I applaud the authors, who are highly experienced in the field of psychology, I found it challenging to achieve the results outlined in the methods. But that’s just me. Hey, Tony Robbins wrote the foreword, touting their method.

This book, while eye-opening, would be most effectively utilized before working in a session with one of the authors or their trained coaches.
