Wellness Reimagined: A Holistic Approach to Health, Happiness, and Harmony

Author and Coach, Erin Clifford, JD, MA, LPC, focuses her book less on balance and more on harmony. How to find the perfect integration of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She thoughtfully presents her health and wellness goals for this book in the introduction, which I imagine would parallel those for her clientele. And speaking of clients, she uses numerous examples of names throughout the book to illustrate needs and achievements, but I don’t think it’s necessary, because they’re not case studies, just names. But I imagine that is one way to make concepts identifiable.

Every reader is looking for a unique spin, something new that entices them to buy a book and makes the investment worthwhile.

This reader is, too. I’m happy to announce that author Erin has achieved this feat, not with the breadth of content per se, but with the format. Don’t get me wrong, Wellness Reimagined is filled with incredible insights and guidance, but beyond her approach to wellness and the way she presents it throughout this very usable book, there isn’t a lot of content that’s unique However, unless you are a scientist with a groundbreaking discovery, most authors of wellness, fitness, and health books differentiate themselves focus on the way they present concepts to the reader. This is key. Because if you can’t show it in a digestible and motivating way, the book is useless.

Clifford has conquered that hurdle by delivering her take on wellness in three distinctive ways.

First, she’s summarized the most important aspects of wellness from the inside out. Second, she’s organized these critical concepts in a progressive way (building upon one step to the next). Third, she has turned this enjoyable book into a “guidebook” format, which you’ll read once, highlight, earmark, then return to the applicable sections as needed, time and again. Coupling all this with recipes, exercises, assessments, planning lists, action items, and self-reflection activities makes this worth the investment.
