What’s A Gold Star Solutions Book?

Recently, I started a category on Books Uplift titled “Solutions.” I’ve read many books over the years that were written to solve a problem or offer thoughtful guidance, but some have really stood out. These books, I gave the gold-star Solutionstitle, not because they sound like they would work, but because they do.

I know this because I’ve read the book and applied the suggested strategies to assess the author’s advice.

Then I incorporate my results into the book review—kind of a deeper book or product review, or a sort of. With any solutions book shared on Books Uplift, I read it, take copious notes, then follow the steps and put into practice what I’ve learned to see if it is, in fact, a solutions-worthy book. In some cases, I’ve asked others to give it a whirl. Currently, I’m working through a few books sent to me by publishers, and I have high hopes they’ll win the coveted (ha ha) Books Uplift Solutions Gold Star!

While all the reads on Books Uplift are winners, not all are designed to be solutions. Some are adventures, stories, teachers, tales, and a plethora of other uplifting descriptors. Doesn’t make them any less critical.

But we all need solutions. And here are a few I’ve found via books.

If you have a suggestion for a solutions book or would like to try out this strategy and submit your review, let’s chat. In the meantime, I’ll keep on solving the world’s, uh, I mean, my problems, through solutions books, thanks to the creative, ingenious, and talented authors out there.
