Each Day is a Gift

Each Day is a Gift

This delightful story by Lisl H. Detlefsen and illustrated by Natalia Vasilica reminds the reader to find the magical gifts in each day. Of course, the measure of each day depends on the recipient. Some days are highly anticipated and wonderfully exciting. Some days take getting used to. Some bring unexpected surprises. And some dont seem like gifts at all.

These days, the ones you may feel like running away from are still a gift. Somewhere buried within them is a powerful lesson, cherished memories, or new opportunities for change. When tough days arrive, the book encourages the reader to reflect quietly and to find comfort in knowing that tomorrow promises an entirely new gift.

Each morning, another day is delivered to you.”

As I often say with heart-touching reads, I dont know why this is a childrens picture book. The message is compelling for readers of all ages. But then again, great books touch the hearts of the reader and the child being read to. Each Day is a Gift is one such book. The illustrations are perfectly paired with the story that unfolds. Page by page, a child experiences one of these days.

Even when the day is rough, this tale suggests what gifts can still be discovered with the hope that tomorrow will be a gift and a treasure. Simple yet profound, it is a perfect gift for anyone and a great way to teach children how to navigate the ups and downs of life thoughtfully.
