Meet sweet Pig! Piggy came to us right before the world shut down due to COVID. We went to a local pet food store to get bones for the three dogs we already had, and the humane society was there with adoptable pups. On the shoulder of one of the volunteers was a tiny little thing that looked very sleepy.
My son asked about her and we were told that she ‘had a bad heart” and couldn’t be spayed until they knew what was going on, and she couldn’t be adopted until she was spayed. Having fostered through the humane society before, they did say we could foster her if we wanted.
After checking with out vet and being told she likely wouldn’t live long, we decided to give her the best life we could, for as long as we could. It took a few months before a vet could get her in for an echocardiogram of her heart, but when we finally got her in, to our surprise, the vet said her heart had healed itself and she had a clean bill of health. She just needed love!! She is my favorite little creature!
Nicole Baker ~ Thank you for adopting!
