Berkley’s a basset hound with a shockingly big nose. I absolutely love the illustrations of Berkley and his friends in this adorable picture book written and illustrated by David Hillman. And who doesn’t love a book that evokes an emotional response—and this one definitely does! Finally, while this message has been told before, anytime a child (and their caregiver) is reminded that we may not always welcome the gifts that we are blessed with, they make us special. And like Berkley, if we embrace them we will realize that we were given these gifts for a purpose.
