Book Craft With Amber Daulton

Book Craft With Amber Daulton

Amber Daulton has been writing professionally and offering various author services since 2012. Now she’s branched into the art of book cover design with her freelance company, Satin Rose Designs. She’s currently accepting new clients and would love to work with you.

What is your book craft? At Satin Rose Designs, I offer a wide selection of premade romance ebook covers with the optional add-ons of paperback covers, audiobook covers, social media graphics, and 3D box set covers. I’ll accept custom cover ebook work on a case-by-case basis, usually if you purchase one or more premades and need additional ebook covers (customs) to match the design and style of the premade

How did you get started offering these professional services? I love creating art, whether it’s written word or something more visual and colorful to tantalize one’s eyes. I’ve been writing and creating promotional graphics for myself for years, but then I created my first audiobook cover after consulting with designer friends and diving headfirst into photo editing to learn, learn, learn. I’ve created a couple of ebook and print covers for myself since then, and I’ve been getting some awesome feedback from other authors, like—Will you create something for me? Hence, Satin Rose Designs was born.

What fulfills you most about working with your clients? It’s an honor to bring a client’s vision to life. I want them to be happy with their covers, so I take their suggestions and feedback seriously to do my best to create what they see in their head but to also ensure that it fits with current trends and is marketable.

What is the ROI that your clients can look forward to by working with you? At the affordable price of $50 per ebook cover, my clients have the opportunity to invest their hard-earned money in other avenues of the business—like in editing, marketing, or advertising. A good cover pays for itself in that, after a glance, readers are intrigued enough to read the blurb and any reviews before hopefully hitting the “Buy Now” button. Covers are the first thing a reader usually sees, so they need to be attention-grabbing.

What makes you, and your services, unique? In addition to being a designer, I’m also an author. I understand what it’s like to have a designer ignore my wishes and create something that I was embarrassed to promote. I won’t do that with my clients. Their satisfaction with the final product is my top priority.

Who is your ideal client? My ideal client is patient, polite, and willing to listen to my ideas and discuss options with me.

How can people get started working with you? To purchase a cover, please fill out the Premade Order Request Form found on every product page. If you prefer to chat first, simply email me at amber@satinrosedesigns.amberdaulton.com or go to my website contact page  and message me there. I’ll be in touch as soon as I can.

What else would you like people to know about you? Feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns you might have, but first, check out my FAQ page. Who knows. Your question may have already been answered. I’m super easy to work, so if you’re ready to get the ball rolling on a new project, count me in.
