Author Becca Powers had hit rock bottom. She’d decided she’d had enough when on her knees, alone in the bathroom. All her “power” had been drained by work, family, and personal and professional obligations. She was tapped dry. There, she realized her calling: to return to radiance and follow her dreams. That life-changing journey transformed her approach to everything, thus re-equipping her with lost energy and passion. This metamorphosis empowered her to pursue a path of teaching others how to do the same.
This book is a guidebook for those who feel stretched in too many directions, veered off their destined path, and drained of energy and joy. Ironically, Becca coined the POWER method to make that leap from void back to vibrance.
- Protect Your Potential
- Own Your Opportunities
- Waken Your Worthiness
- Elevate Your Energy
- Rock Your Radiance
It’s a catchy acronym for uplifting, confidence-building, and remembering what’s most important. Time and again, she reminds us of the importance of self-care and self-preservation to prevent burnout.
Though a little flash and cuteness are sprinkled throughout (e.g., Grab Your Gemstones), this book is full of science and strategy. Also, I needed to note the additional acronyms to follow the references. The last third of the book is devoted to Kundalini Yoga, which is not cited in the description. But it works. She’s a passionate practitioner and sees first-hand the benefits when it’s aligned with her POWER method. In a way, I wish this was two books. Though uplifting, there’s a lot to unpack.
One of the many things I applaud Becca for is her positive approach.
I don’t know her personally, but her light shines through every page. I imagine her seminars are packed and overflowing with high-energy moments. It’s clear she’s passionate about helping people make severe changes in their lives, and that is what this book is designed to do. The roadmap is here. It may take a few reads to get it right, but the tools are here, and I’m already experimenting with several of them.
I credit Becca Powers for her vulnerability and willingness to meet readers where they are and for writing a well-researched, thought-provoking book dedicated to personal growth and positive transformation.
