Why can’t these books be made into movies?

Why can’t these books be made into movies?

I really hope this is one of those blogs where you chime in, since I know for a fact that you get it.

You finish reading an outstanding book and want more. Then you start imagining what it would be like if it’s made into a movie. And then your thoughts turn to who would play the characters? I know I’m not alone in my musings.

Sure, I know that sometimes books are made into movies and it’s an epic fail. The author’s meaning and message are diluted or lost by the Hollywood touch. Then there are a few that didn’t quite have the zest until taken over by a producer.

I’m not saying that this would result in the most positive outcomes but there are a few I would very much like to see on the big screen. Here’s a start to my list. I plan to add more and I hope you will too.

Memory Man by David Baldacci

Irish Gold by Andrew Greeley

Origin by Dan Brown

Sycamore Row by John Grisham

Noble Man by William Miller

Misjudged by James Chandler

Outfox by Sandra Brown

I love the book Irish Gold. I actually came across this post while searching if the movie had been made into a movie.

David, I love that book and the series. I’m going to be doing a few reviews of some Andrew Greeley books this year. Glad you found Books Uplift. Keep stopping by for interesting articles about books and how they positively impact our lives.
